Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager – Structural Remedial Freyssinet Australia | Melbourne, Victoria (On-site) Victoria | Structural Remedial | Growing Division Our Victorian remedial business is expanding and we need experienced engineers and project managers ready to take ownership of complex structural works, concrete repair, steel strengthening, and civil and building asset maintenance.

About the Role Senior Project Engineer You'll take full technical ownership of structural remedial projects on site — reading and interrogating engineering designs, resolving technical issues in real time, managing subcontractors, and driving program and quality from the ground up. You'll work closely with the PM and report directly into state leadership. Project Manager You'll own the full project lifecycle safety, program, cost, client, and team. You'll be commercially accountable for projects up to $10M+, managing the SPE and site teams beneath you while maintaining direct client and consultant relationships. What You'll Be Doing Delivering structural remedial works across VIC — concrete repair, steel strengthening, building and infrastructure assets Managing program, cost control, subcontractor performance, and quality outcomes Engaging clients and consultants with technical credibility Identifying and managing risk before it becomes a problem Driving a zero-harm safety culture Accurate reporting, forecasting, and variation management What You'll Bring Senior Project Engineer Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering 5+ years in construction, with on-site delivery experience in civil, remedial, or structural works Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Organised, technically sharp, and ready to step up commercially Project Manager Degree in Engineering or Construction Management 8+ years in construction, with proven PM or senior site leadership experience Track record delivering projects $5M–$10M+ Commercially astute contracts, claims, cost management Strong communicator at all levels client, consultant, and site

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to lead complex remedial projects, coordinate site operations, and ensure excellence in delivery across a diverse portfolio of works.

About the Role Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Working Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of remedial construction sites. You will take ownership of site activities, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality and environmental standards. You will supervise works including: Concrete repairs Steel repairs and strengthening Carbon Fibre strengthening (FRP) Hydro-demolition and dry-spray Temporary works and access solutions Abrasive blasting and protective coatings You will lead and manage site crews, oversee subcontractors, and maintain effective communication between the project team and workforce. Leading by example, you will champion a culture of safety, productivity, and accountability. Key Responsibilities Coordinate site activities and allocate resources to achieve timely and high-quality project delivery Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements Monitor project progress and proactively address issues affecting timelines or budgets Liaise with engineers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure alignment across all stages of the project Assist in the planning and setup of temporary works, including scaffolding, containment, and access systems Maintain detailed site records, including daily diaries, timesheets, and material usage Champion continuous improvement and foster a high-performing site culture About You We are looking for a hands-on, experienced supervisor who can lead from the front and ensure remedial projects are delivered safely and efficiently. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and profitably, while providing technical expertise and leadership across multiple teams and stakeholders.
