We are seeking a Project Coordinator V.I.E. (F/M) to join the Terwillegar Drive Expansion Project in Edmonton, AB. This major initiative includes expanding a key interchange, adding new vehicular and pedestrian crossings, as well as delivering both greenfield and brownfield works to improve mobility while reducing congestion.

What can you expect as a Construction Project Engineer @Carmacks?
As part of the Carmacks teams, you will play a key role in supervising a specific worksite area while working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and more.
Your key responsibilities will include, and not be limited to:
Project Coordination, Reporting &amp; Document Control :
Overall quantity tracking of works, integrating drone data with owner quantity reports for monthly progress,
Completing and organizing daily project reports to document ongoing activity of the works,
Organizing and documenting daily site photographs of project activity,
Managing the project-specific SharePoint and document control structure.
Technical, Quality &amp; Environmental Management :
Organizing Quality Control and Quality Assurance for roadwork scopes of work for the project site,
Assisting on technical submittals and drafting procedures with project management,
Monitoring environmental performance to ensure the site meets or exceeds regulatory and internal standards.
Planning, Estimating &amp; Site Coordination :
Contributing to both management-focused responsibilities and on-site field activities,
Supporting winter season planning and project phasing,
Assisting with estimating activities in collaboration with the Municipal group.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

You’ll be a great fit if: 
You hold a master’s degree in civil engineering or construction, giving you a solid academic foundation to understand complex infrastructure projects.
You have initial field experience in civil construction, including in measurement and payment. Indeed, it will give you solid site knowledge that will help you integrate effectively on a technical level. Those backgrounds will catch our eye in our selection process.
You’re looking for a role that mixes fieldwork with project coordination, and you’re eager to get hands-on experience in construction.

You have a high level of computer literacy and are comfortable using digital tools, especially Excel, and can support planning tasks such as updating short-term schedules or reviewing project programs.

You are well organized and structured, enabling you to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain clear documentation.

Kiewit, Eurovia and VINCI join forces to expand the Confederation Line of Ottawa towards both the western and eastern districts.
Our goal? Improving the mobility and connectivity of the city of Ottawa, thereby improving the mobility enhancing the lives of thousands of residents while reducing the region's carbon footprint
Project Overview:
27.5 kilometers of LRT Infrastructure: the extension involves the design, construction, and financing of 27.5 kilometers of light rail transit (LRT) tracks, which will extend the Confederation Line to the west and east of the city of Ottawa.
Diverse Structures: You will have the opportunity to work on a range of structures, including 4 kilometers of covered trench tracks, 20 structures, 16 stations (including one underground and one elevated), as well as a maintenance center and associated systems.

What you can expect as a Field Engineer on the OLRT project ?
As part of the VINCI Construction teams (Dodin/Janin/Eurovia Québec), you will play a key role in the success of planning, organizing, and implementing project engineering &amp; project controls tasks, working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and more.   
Get ready to: 
Manage schedules and coordinate subcontractors on your perimeter (conduct and administer overall job planning and programming);                 
Define and ensure the supply of material needs of your perimeter;
Monitor construction progress and ensure the smooth running of the work and propose corrective actions and implementing them once validated by your manager
Participate in the financial management of the project, monitor daily costs of all time-dependent elements on the project and implications;                                     
Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required. 
Enhance coordination between your work zone and the different other work zones adjacent
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and requirements related to Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environment.
Temporary work designs will include shoring, falsework, concrete formwork, personnel access platforms and hoisting rigging.
Also note that you might need to travel and relocate during your mission if needed.

What you can expect as a Superintendant on the OLRT project ?
As part of the VINCI Construction teams (Dodin/Janin/Eurovia Québec), you'll oversee multiple teams, ensuring smooth operations and top-quality work on construction sites. Your responsibilities include coordinating schedules, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of workmanship. You'll also play a key role in fostering positive relationships with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Get ready to: 
Schedule and direct work crews
Hire, train, and mentor craft personnel
Develop 90-day, 3-week and daily schedules for crews, equipment and materials.
Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
Handle the day to day of the site : problem-solving, quality improvement, cost tracking, maintaining good owner relations
Manage contract administration (subcontractor/field management meeting for communication) and act as liaison and coordinator between contractors and craft employees
Initiate and attend supplementary and regular meeting with client for problem resolution and planning
Build and handle the financial management of the project, monitor daily costs of all time-dependent elements on the project and implications;
Administer safety programs, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and requirements related to Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environment
