Site Manager

Berkshire
Purpose of the job
Under direction of the PM/SPM assist in the completion and execution of projects to ensure their safe, secure, timely, cost effective and best quality delivery, meeting both the client’s and Nuvia’s business objectives.
To manage site works as delegated by the Project Manager or Construction Manager
To coordinate all work
To take ownership of the Programme of Work
To set up the site infrastructure in accordance with company standard
To manage all resources including Subcontractors and Nuvia labour on site to ensure safety, quality and time constraints are met.
To Identify and Manage all areas of Change
To be the focal point of the site works as they are implemented on site
Comply with Nuvia standards for decommissioning and construction works
Reports to
Reports directly to the Project Manager / Construction Manager

Key Accountabilities
·       Set up site infrastructure to enable the start of works
Familiar with all contract documents particularly the drawings and specification to ensure the full scope of work is achieved.
To manage a team of supervisors and engineers in progressing the site works
Communicates effectively to all parties supervising and undertaking the works
Directs a team of supervisors and engineers in the implementation of the works
Sets up safe systems of work on site and approves all SSOW documents drafted by Nuvia and Subcontractors, involving Safety representatives in this process, and draft SSOW documents when require
Arranges for Drafts reports for inclusion in project manager reports
·        Performs non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more-diverse project
·        Prepares, or directs preparation and modification of, reports, specifications, drawings, plans, schedules, environmental impact studies etc.
·        Follow company QMS standards and procedures while delivering projects and ensure others follow them in the production of all deliverables
·        Ensure coordination with and between all engineering and related disciplines to produce integrated engineering deliverables
·        Safe delivery of project scope and compliance with all SHE requirements
Communicates effectively with all site stakeholders, especially client representatives
·       Accountable for construction site performance
Appointment memorandum will define limits of authority.
Work is undertaken from appointment as Site Manager by the Project Manager/ Construction Manager.
Site performance is regularly reviewed by the Project Manager/Construction Manager&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Occupational Skills and Knowledge
·       Knowledge and qualification in a construction and/or trade-based discipline with formal qualifications. 

Duties and Requirements
·       Engineering, or other technical/science based, degree or HNC/HND level qualification with some experience
·       Direct and demonstrable experience of involvement in the provision and management of engineering projects in front end design and/or design &amp; build projects
·       Knowledge of planning and project control methods and analysis
·        A background gained in a technical environment working for clients from across the industry
·       Demonstrable experience in a Project Engineering role in the management and delivery of the design of process / materials handling plants
·       Proven track record within a complex project environment with strong organisational and interpersonal skills
·       Good understanding of project management tools and their appropriate utilisation
·       Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
·       Demonstrable experience in Decommissioning / Construction Works delivery with a high M and E content.
·       Ambitious ability to drive construction to successful completion.

·       Higher qualifications with decommissioning and / or construction theme
·       Minimum Level 6 NVQ in Construction Management with black CSCS Manager card (or equivalent)

·        Experience in the Nuclear/decommissioning/construction services sectors
·        Sub-contractor and management experience

Document Controller

Purpose of the Job
The Document Controller is responsible for managing, organising, and safeguarding all project documentation throughout its lifecycle. This role ensures that accurate, up to date information is accessible to project teams, stakeholders, and external partners. The Document Controller maintains compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Key Accountabilities
Document Management &amp; Control
Establish and maintain document control processes, procedures, and metadata standards.
Manage the receipt, registration, tracking, and distribution of project documentation.
Ensure all documents are correctly formatted, version-controlled, and stored in the appropriate systems.
Oversee document workflows, ensuring timely reviews, approvals, and close outs.

Systems Administration
Maintain and administer the project’s electronic document management system (EDMS) such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint, SharePoint, or similar.
Support users with system access, training, troubleshooting, and ensuring proper use of workflows and file structures.
Ensure data integrity, audit trails, and compliance with information governance requirements.

Quality &amp; Compliance
Conduct document quality checks (e.g., naming conventions, revision control, completeness).
Ensure documentation meets project standards, contractual requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Prepare reports on document status, compliance, overdue actions, and system metrics.
Project Support
Assist with information management strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor document deliverables against project schedules and escalate delays as necessary.
Support change control by ensuring documentation reflects approved changes and updates.

Governance, Assurance &amp; Reporting
Organise assurance processes (e.g. gateway reviews).
Provide regular reporting on project progress (e.g. monthly governance reviews, Board Reports etc.).
Actively participate in reviews and action implementation of recommendations.
Ensure appropriate document management systems and audit control measures are in place and adhered to.

Project Performance &amp; Controls
Adherence to project management controls (at times with a Project Controls lead and/or a planner) and ensure all project changes are captured.

Risk &amp; Issue Management
Undertake proactive management project risks &amp; issues.
This includes risk identification and prioritisation, developing and implementing mitigation plans, maintaining an accurate risk &amp; issue register, and ensuring the timely escalation of significant concerns.

Guidance &amp; Support
Provide guidance, support and coaching to the project team, including cascading of wider organisational messages and information that may be pertinent to project delivery.

Occupational Skills and Knowledge
Proven experience in a Document Controller or Information Management role.
Strong understanding of document control processes within construction, engineering, or major project environments.
Proficiency with EDMS platforms (e.g., Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint, BIM 360, SharePoint).
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage high volumes of documentation and work to tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and confidence in working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Familiarity with quality assurance practices and information governance requirements.
Experience working on large construction, rail, infrastructure, or engineering projects advantageous.

Advantageous
Experience/familiarity with the fusion industry.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
Vocational qualifications in administration or project support beneficial.
Training or certification in document control or information management desirable.

Purpose of the job
This role is the main point of contact and responsibility within the business line for all Project and business line risk activity. The role will be responsible for ensuring that both project and business level risk within the organisation is managed within the bounds of company procedures and that those procedures are in line with wider best practice.
As part of the Project Management Office, the role reports into the Project Controls Manager, and may have direct reports to support the delivery of project level resource requirements, alongside the implementation of a modern risk management system and culture.

Key Accountabilities
The PE&amp;D Risk Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a project risk improvement project, ensuring that the processes, tools and systems are in place for best practice risk management on all Nuvia projects. This will include both qualitative and quantitative risk management, and will work closely with the planning team to facilitate and implement quantitative risk analysis on project schedules. Secondly, the position will support the ongoing risk management at a business level.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Project Risk Management
Development and Definition of project risk management processes, guidance documents, templates and forms and continuous improvement of thereof
Providing oversight of project risk management activities on projects to ensure company processes are being followed and hence risks are being adequately identified, assessed and managed
Providing assistance, as required, to project teams to assist them in the effective management of risk, including the facilitation of risk reviews
Implementation of risk modelling activities on live projects
Promotion of a Risk Management Culture &amp; Change
Training and development of risk management competency within the Project Management Community &amp; wider business
Review and update of risk management and project controls processes to ensure best practice
Implementation of a new risk management system into the business in 2026
Communicate regularly with the business on risk relatedactivity
Tendering Support
Facilitation and management of risk on prospects during the tendering process
Implementation of risk modelling activities on live tender schedules
Provision of overall prospects risk profiling to aid review and due process
Business Level Risk Management
Facilitation to business level risk workshops and management of the business line risk register
Attendance at risk committees, representing the business line as needed
Support to risk scoring and development, including escalation to organizational risk where required 
Support to the corporate risk management, including advising on process and scoring updates 
Management of a team of staff employees and supply chain resource as required, in order to support the above work across multiple business lines.
