What you will do:

You will play a key role in leading and coordinating the project readiness by ensuring strong internal alignment, coordination, and synchronization across all departments. You will ensure that all teams work in full coherence toward readiness milestones, reviews, liberations of areas, and client deliverables. You will serve as the central point for documentation and formal exchanges with the Client, ensuring clarity, compliance, and timely approvals. Concretely, your tasks will be:
Project preparation
Lead the overall Readiness Program, ensuring that all project departments are aligned on upcoming milestones, prerequisites, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain retro‑planning, readiness dashboards, and KPIs.
Organize, lead, and document Readiness Meetings with internal teams, ensuring issues are identified, escalated, and solved early.
Maintain the Readiness Register, ensuring full traceability, clear owners, deadlines, evidence, and closure.
Identify interface gaps or misalignments early and drive collaborative resolution.
Support departments in structuring their inputs/outputs, ensuring consistency and eliminating gaps,
Maintain traceability of cross-functional exchanges (requests, decisions, impacts, constraints).
Facilitate clear understanding of responsibilities, boundaries, and shared tasks across teams.

Coordination &amp; Reporting
Act as the focal point for Client interactions related to readiness and interfaces.
Prepare and coordinate Client documentation such as MOUs, readiness review dossiers, comprehensive work packages, windows analysis files, and other required submissions.
Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery to the Client.
Support external stakeholders’ alignment with the project’s readiness roadmap.
Work closely with Project Controls to ensure alignment of planning, risks, and readiness sequencing.
Ensure readiness and interface topics are integrated into project governance.

Lean &amp; Continuous Improvement
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and recurring coordination issues.
Lead or contribute to Lean initiatives such as Process mapping &amp; simplification, Waste reduction (planning waste, rework, information gaps, waiting time, etc.),
Standardization of readiness workflows, templates, and reporting, Improvement of cross‑department communication flows

HSE &amp; Compliance
Comply with VINCI’s Quality Management System and project-specific procedures.

Yous skills:
Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent
5–10 years of experience in large‑scale infrastructure projects (civil, marine, tunnelling, or similar).
7 years of experience in project control, scheduling, readiness, interface management, project engineering, or coordination roles involving multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a proactive mindset for identifying and resolving interface issues early.
Strong organizational and reporting skills, including experience maintaining registers, producing KPIs
Near-native level of English; French is considered an advantage.
Experience working in regulated environments nuclear is a strong asset

What you will do:

What is the project?


The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment program involves designing and building a new deep-water intake
Concretely, your tasks will be: 
Reporting to the Project Control Lead, the main duties are to structure and organize the schedule management on the project, to maintain and update the design schedule and to prepare and update the pre-construction and construction activities schedule.

The position will therefore encompass participating in the following:
Weekly and Monthly schedule progress reporting (progress update, weekly/monthly look-ahead)
Develop and coordinate with all department (notably permitting, procurement and construction departments) the development of the execution schedule
Identify scheduling conflicts and incompatibilities with the design and permitting schedule
Progressively baseline the pre-construction and construction schedules of construction early works
Prepare and communicate on the project’s weekly look-ahead schedule
Provide analysis of alternatives and mitigation measures
Act as the reference for all schedule-related matters on the project
 
More specifically, they will be responsible for the following activities:
 
Baseline and reporting:
Establish the project baseline schedule (definition and progressively for execution)
Provide 3-weeks and 3-months look-ahead schedule of activities required to support the project (Definition and Execution) schedule
Prepare, develop and report on schedule KPIs
Identify and analyze risks and their potential impact on the schedule
Organize and perform weekly schedule update and monthly reporting

Preparation of the Execution Phase Schedule of the Project :
Verify and adjust the Execution Phase schedule based on the progress of the design and permitting activities and evolving contractual requirements
Communicate and coordinate with the various project departments the necessary evolutions to the pre-construction and construction activities schedule (Execution Phase Schedule)
Prepare the Execution Phase Baseline Schedule
Participate in risk management activities (identification of risks, incorporation of contingencies in the schedule etc..)
Ensure the schedule is compliant with quality indicators and properly configured for baselining
Perform weekly and monthly schedule updates with the various project departments and provide reporting of evolution and variances
Perform analysis of What-If or alternative scenarios to support decision-making
Coordinate with the estimating, contract and cost control teams to ensure adequacy in the various project forecasts

The Chief Surveyor is accountable for overseeing and managing the surveying team in the collection of monitoring data. Establishing the manual monitoring and supervising the daily survey activities.


Concretely, your tasks will be:
Management of the in tunnel, LU/LO and surface monitoring teams;
Accountable for the accurate acquisition of data;
Collection of all monitoring data in time for daily review;
Accountable for the data programming of the tunnel guidance software;

 YOUR MISSIONS WITH US:
Project Execution &amp; Technical Delivery:
Direct the full lifecycle of a dedicated I&amp;M project, ensuring the precise installation and commissioning of technical assets (e.g., AMTS, VW Piezometers, Inclinometers, and telemetry) in strict alignment with approved Work Method Statements (WMS).
Commercial &amp; Contract Control : 
Assume full P&amp;L accountability for the project, setting and forecasting budgets with strategic financial management.
Apply CCDC standard and modified contract frameworks and ensure strict procedural adherence to the Ontario Construction Act and Prompt Payment legislative requirements to protect project margins and cash flow.
Lead project-level contract negotiations, identify scope creep immediately, and manage change-order mechanisms.
 
Safety &amp; Risk Management :
Take overall responsibility and accountability for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health, as well as the provision of safe and healthy workplaces and activities across the project site. 
Implement robust processes for the elimination of hazards and reduction of OH&amp;S risks using the recognized hierarchy of controls. 
Develop, audit, and strictly enforce site-specific Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).
 
Subcontractor &amp; Supply Chain Vetting :
Ensure that externally provided processes, products and services conform to requirements. 
Manage specialized subcontractors (e.g., geotechnical drilling, hydrovac, and civils contractors) against Sixense technical, commercial, and safety standards throughout deployment on our project sites.
 
Stakeholder &amp; Client Interface :

What is the project?
The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment program involves designing and building a new deep-water intake in Lake Ontario to improve the plant's cooling system. This will involve:
-         A 1.5 km-long tunnel, built by a pressurized TBM (10.15 m diameter slurry TBM);
-         Two vertical shafts (onshore and offshore);
-         An offshore modular intake structure, resting on the lake bed.
The project is distinguished by its proximity to an active nuclear site, requiring rigorous standards of safety, planning and coordination.
What you will do:
The Superintendent will provide on-site coordination of all construction activities while ensuring the proper implementation of safety protocols. They will collaborate with stakeholders across the project to ensure key milestones are met and maintain accurate records of construction activities and costs.
Concretely, your tasks will be:
Supervise subcontractor teams within the area of control
Ensure that HSE is always guaranteed by enforcing a safe work environment, implementing and monitoring safety protocols, and conducting regular safety inspections to prevent accidents and mitigate risks 
Manage and coordinate all construction activities on the project, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable regulations
Monitor the quality of work performed on-site to ensure adherence to industry standards, project requirements, and best practices

Kiewit, Eurovia and VINCI join forces to expand the Confederation Line of Ottawa towards both the western and eastern districts.
Our goal? Improving the mobility and connectivity of the city of Ottawa, thereby improving the mobility enhancing the lives of thousands of residents while reducing the region's carbon footprint
Project Overview:
27.5 kilometers of LRT Infrastructure: the extension involves the design, construction, and financing of 27.5 kilometers of light rail transit (LRT) tracks, which will extend the Confederation Line to the west and east of the city of Ottawa.
Diverse Structures: You will have the opportunity to work on a range of structures, including 4 kilometers of covered trench tracks, 20 structures, 16 stations (including one underground and one elevated), as well as a maintenance center and associated systems.

We are looking for Field Engineers V.I.E.  F/M who will be excited to contribute to this project that will make history in the city.

What you can expect as a Field Engineer on the OLRT project ?
As part of the VINCI Construction teams (Dodin/Janin/Eurovia Québec), you will play a key role in the success of planning, organizing, and implementing project engineering &amp; project controls tasks, working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and more.   
Get ready to: 
Manage schedules and coordinate subcontractors on your perimeter (conduct and administer overall job planning and programming);                 
Define and ensure the supply of material needs of your perimeter;
Monitor construction progress and ensure the smooth running of the work and propose corrective actions and implementing them once validated by your manager
Participate in the financial management of the project, monitor daily costs of all time-dependent elements on the project and implications;                                     
Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required. 
Enhance coordination between your work zone and the different other work zones adjacent
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and requirements related to Quality Assurance, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environment.
Temporary work designs will include shoring, falsework, concrete formwork, personnel access platforms and hoisting rigging.
Also note that you might need to travel and relocate during your mission if needed.

Your responsibilities include coordinating schedules, controlling costs, and maintaining high standards of workmanship. You'll also play a key role in fostering positive relationships with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Get ready to: 
Schedule and direct work crews
Hire, train, and mentor craft personnel
Develop 90-day, 3-week and daily schedules for crews, equipment and materials.
Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
Handle the day to day of the site : problem-solving, quality improvement, cost tracking, maintaining good owner relations
