Description of the assignment

VINCI Construction’s America & Oceania Division (revenue of €3.9 billion with 10 000 employees), part of Vinci Construction (an international group headquartered in France with a turnover of $31.5 billion with 119 000 employees) is recruiting for its Mergers & Acquisitions department based in Brossard – QC (Montreal area, Canada).


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

To support the continuing growth of the Americas & Oceania Division, we are looking for an M&A analyst based in the Montreal area. You will join Mergers & Acquisitions department, where you will work on projects related to the Americas and Oceania perimeter (currently Canada, USA, Chile, Australia, New-Zealand…).

Join VINCI Construction's team and play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure landscape across the Americas and Oceania, the most dynamic division with 2-3 acquisitions per year. As an M&A Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our expansion, working on diverse projects that span continents from Canada to New Zealand.

In this role, you will:
- Dive into financial and strategic project analyses, uncovering insights that drive our business forward.
- Engage in comprehensive due diligence, collaborating with specialized teams to ensure legal, financial, and tax integrity.
- Perform sophisticated evaluation and modeling tasks, contributing to the financial acumen of our operations.
- Navigate the M&A process, liaising with a network of internal and external partners to orchestrate successful collaborations.
- Craft compelling briefing notes and presentations, influencing the strategic decisions of Executives.

Profile

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in M&A, with a significant role in transaction execution.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating high-quality, precise, concise and impactful documents for client and Executive Committee / Board members.
- Fluency in French and English is required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Solid understanding of finance, especially valuation techniques (DCF, multiples, asset-based, LBO and hybrid models).
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles; professional certifications (CPA, CFA, ACCA) are beneficial.
- Has good understanding of legal aspects.
- Excellent communication skills, with a commitment to precision and professionalism, and the organizational acumen necessary for complex project execution.
