JANIN ATLAS, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction Grands Projets, specializes in the design and construction of major civil engineering and building works across Canada. In Joint Venture (JV) with Ferrovial, a global leader in infrastructure, we are delivering complex projects in sectors such as transport, hydraulic and mining infrastructure, energy, oil & gas, building, and the environment. Together, we are executing the Ontario Line Southern Section (OLS) project in Toronto.
Project Overview:
Project Name: Ontario Line Southern Section (OLS)
Scope: Design, construction, and handover of 6 km of twin-tube tunnels, 7 stations (1 at grade and 6 underground), and associated civil works.
JV Partners: VCGP/JANIN ATLAS and Ferrovial

Position Summary:
The Methods Engineer will lead a team of 2-3 draftsmen and play a critical role in supporting the construction teams’ preparation for works and ensuring that safety in design is integrated into all construction methodologies.
The role requires close coordination with multiple disciplines: underground, TBM, civil, architectural, MEP works and departments, such as design, safety…, to ensure that the works are well planned and coordinated and could be performed as scheduled.
Main Objectives :
Support the construction team in preparing works, ensuring safety considerations are embedded in all methodologies by developing construction sequences, logistics plan…
Develop construction methodologies, technical documentation, and drawings, ensuring safety in design is a core consideration in every step.
Coordinate with other departments (design, safety, quality, MEP) to ensure smooth integration of various project components and ensure that safety is prioritized in all aspects of construction planning.
Principal Responsibilities:
Construction Preparation: Support the construction team in the preparation of works, including ensuring all necessary materials, resources, and documentation are in place for upcoming tasks.
Discipline Coordination: Coordinate with other departments such as civil, underground works, TBM, MEP and architectural works to ensure that all construction activities are safely and efficiently planned, coordinated and integrated.
· Lead a Draftsmen Team ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with project goals. It consists of assigning tasks and overseeing the production of accurate, high-quality construction drawings,
Logistics and Planning: Ensure proper coordination between teams to prepare the site for all activities, considering logistics, traffic management, crane schedules, and other operational concerns.
Profil
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Skills:
Knowledge in construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, or similar) and BIM (Building Information Modeling),
Strong interest and motivation to have a challenging leadership and team management abilities, including mentoring and guiding draftsmen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in team, collaborate effectively with architectural, MEP, and construction teams.
