1. Technical Business Development

Develop strategic technical relationships with clients, consultants and national engineering firms.
Influence projects early by introducing practical technical solutions, alternative construction approaches and innovative delivery strategies.
Position SBC as the technical leader in the specialty foundations market through technical presentations, industry committees and conferences.
Support strategic pursuits by providing technical credibility throughout the business development process.
Collaborate with business development and operations teams to identify opportunities, influence project strategies and strengthen client relationships.

2. Technical Strategy & Innovation

Identify future construction techniques, equipment requirements and specialist expertise required to support SBC's long-term growth.
Evaluate and introduce innovative construction methods, equipment and international best practices.
Promote continuous technical improvement through collaboration with the Group, suppliers, consultants and project teams.
Drive innovation that improves safety, productivity, quality, constructability and overall business performance.

3. Bid & Project Technical Assurance

Provide independent technical review and assurance on major pursuits and strategically significant projects.
Review constructability, execution strategy, equipment selection and production assumptions.
Challenge technical assumptions, identify execution risks and improve project outcomes without compromising execution certainty.
Conduct technical reviews at key project milestones to improve project readiness and reduce execution risk.
Act as the senior technical advisor for complex technical or operational issues.

4. Construction Excellence & Operational Improvement

Develop, standardize and promote consistent construction methodologies, technical standards and execution practices across the business.
Capture and share lessons learned and best practices across regions and major projects.
Identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency, productivity and technical consistency.
Support regional operations and technical leaders while maintaining their accountability for project delivery.

5. People & Capability Development

Coach and mentor project, operations and technical personnel.
Strengthen technical judgment and construction knowledge across the organization.
Develop future technical leaders and establish succession for key technical positions.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation and technical excellence.
Build organizational capability by transferring international knowledge and best practices throughout the business.

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred.


• 20+ years of experience in specialty foundations and geotechnical construction, including senior technical or operational leadership.


• Extensive practical knowledge of construction methodologies, specialist equipment and complex project execution.


• Proven ability to influence major project pursuits and build strong relationships with clients and engineering consultants.


• Demonstrated ability to drive technical innovation, operational improvement and organizational capability development.


• Ability to travel as required
