About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our NSW Remedial team, based in Newcastle. This is a strong opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to take ownership of specialised remedial construction projects across the region.

Profile

Step into a role that offers far more than standard project delivery — this is your opportunity to work at the forefront of specialist remedial engineering in Newcastle. As a key member of our team, you’ll be involved in a diverse mix of operational and high‑complexity environments, contributing to the protection, restoration, and long‑term performance of critical Australian infrastructure.

This role provides a unique blend of hands‑on site exposure, technical problem‑solving, and office‑based project support, giving you the chance to build a well‑rounded and highly sought‑after skill set in the remedial sector.

If you enjoy variety, thrive in challenging environments, and want to work with a team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence — this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a central part in delivering complex remedial solutions across NSW by:

  • Supporting the end‑to‑end delivery of remedial construction projects across a wide range of sectors

  • Assisting with cost estimating, tender submissions, and the development of project methodologies

  • Managing project administration, including documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements

  • Conducting regular site inspections and supporting high standards of safety, quality, and environmental performance

  • Working closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients

  • Contributing to detailed planning, programming, material tracking, and site coordination activities

  • Providing technical input to problem‑solving on site, including constructability reviews and remediation strategies

  • Helping maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through professionalism and reliable delivery

  • This is a role where you will learn fast, broaden your capability, and make a visible impact on every project you touch.

What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements

We’re looking for an engineer who brings a combination of technical knowledge, initiative, and on‑site leadership. You will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or similar discipline)

  • Capability in estimating, cost tracking, documentation control, and general project administration

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, paired with excellent organisational ability

  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and solve problems in the field

  • The ability to work safely and confidently in brownfield, industrial, and operational environments

Preferred Experience
While not essential, experience in remedial construction will make you stand out.

This includes exposure to:

Concrete remediation and structural repairs
Protective coatings and corrosion management
Strengthening, façade repair, or marine structure rehabilitation
Liaising with engineers, inspectors, and specialist trades
