Description of the assignment

Actemium EV is a dedicated business unit to EV Charging solutions, with an increase in activity in this sector we are currently looking for a hard-working Civils Team Leader to head up a team of two or three groundworkers installing ducting, kurb lines, concrete bases etc, in preparation for our electrical team to install the cabling and EV chargers. As team leader you will be responsible for supervising and working with your team to ensure the projects are completed inline with the program and to our high standard.

Primary tasks:

  • Using a CAT4/GENNY4 for cable avoidance.
  • Reading and understanding construction drawings.
  • Operate 360 excavators, Dumpers, trench rammer, road saw.
  • Excavating and reinstating a variety of trenches through various types of soft ground, concrete, tarmac and block paving.
  • Operate various small tools including abrasive wheels.
  • Installing twin wall ducting.
  • Excavate for, and install draw pits.
  • Installing precast concrete bases.
  • Building shuttering and casting complex concrete bases on site.
  • Installing NAL sockets, crash protection/lighting bollards.

 

Profile

Required qualities & qualifications:

  • Be punctual and hard working.
  • Be motivated to produce a high standard of work.
  • Able to work away from home during the week when required.
  • A good team player.
  • CSCS, NRSWA, SSSTS, CPCS/NPORS, HSG47.
  • Able to understand and make use of construction drawings.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Have experience working on CDM sites.
  • Have experience supervising small teams.
  • 360 excavator experience with relevant accreditation.
  • Proven experience trenching through, and reinstating a variety of surfaces.
