NUVIA UK's Technical Services & Consulting department is fast growing with hybrid opportunities available up and down the country. We're striving to create a multidisciplinary team to offer our clients the best range of talent.
BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.
Supporting one of our key clients we are looking for Configuration Engineers. This will involve managing a small team, managing the designs of others, and reviewing the designs that are produced so that processes are properly, adequately, and efficiently implemented across the project.
As a Configuration Engineer you will be responsible for keeping the contracts’ configuration in compliance with the project. This will be achieved through the management and the resolution of open-points and changes related to Design, Manufacturing and Qualification, technical oversight of the contracts, and the surveillance of technical documentation.
Profile
Position – Configuration Engineer
Location – Aztec West, Bristol.
Travel – Required in the office 3 days per week and 2 from home.
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 remote.
Arrangement – Staffed only
Salary - £40,000+ DOE
Responsibilities of a Configuration Engineer but not limited to –
- Configuration management, through the control and management of the evolution of the
- Contract and design changes
- Liaise with RD and client teams to ensure integration of equipment with interfacing functions/systems.
- Leading technical meetings
- Technical surveillance and resolution of issues/queries
- Review and approval and design where necessary
- Review of non-conformances and exemptions requests, open points, design changes
- Review and approval of contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs)
- Liaise with RD and client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues and planning to support contract delivery.
- Reporting of KPIs to the CEL
Required technical skills –
- Understanding of the EPR or general PWR design
- Understanding of Equipment interfaces (safety case, systems engineering, CDM)
- Strong communication skills
- Master’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Scientific Discipline
