Description of the assignment

As part of VINCI Construction, HEB delivers complex, large-scale civil infrastructure that sustains and supports communities – including major roading construction, bridges, water and wastewater infrastructure, and marine works.

Join the team delivering one of Tauranga’s most significant transport infrastructure projects.

HEB Construction, in partnership with Beca and Tauranga City Council, is helping shape the future of the city through the Fifteenth Avenue to Welcome Bay roading improvements. This major project will improve connectivity, reduce congestion, and enhance walking and cycling networks for the growing Bay of Plenty community. With construction planned from 2027, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to innovative, resilient infrastructure that will benefit Tauranga for generations to come.

About the Role

As a Construction Manager within HEB Construction, you will lead project teams to achieve exceptional outcomes across safety, programme, quality and commercial performance.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Providing visible leadership across all aspects of construction delivery on the project
  • Ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard
  • Leading and developing high-performing, multidisciplinary construction teams
  • Proactively managing project risks, programme and constructability to drive successful outcomes
  • Embedding a strong culture of Zero Harm, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with clients, partners and project stakeholders 

Profile

What We’re Looking For

We are looking to connect with construction leaders who bring:


  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale civil infrastructure projects over $100,000,000, ideally with experience on NZTA scale roading projects
  • Proven capability leading construction teams on complex, high-value programmes, with multidisciplinary exposure across earthworks, drainage, structures and pavement works
  • Strong project delivery focus across safety, programme, cost and quality
  • The ability to inspire teams and foster a high-performance culture
  • A collaborative and values-driven approach aligned with our values – Open, Real, Together, Care, Deliver
