Description of the assignment

 

Engineer

Location: Bristol

Permanent 

 

As the Engineer you will support one of our end clients with Piping projects for Hinkley Point. Your primary responsibility in the project will be to support the procurement through detailed design until manufacturing, ensuring alignment with project and client requirements.

 

You will be responsible for the design phase, overseeing documentation and delivery oversight as well as the following:

  • Support teams and suppliers to prepare technical documentations related to the procurement of the project. Ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory standards and project specifications.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding the progress of design and management of potential design issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of technical drawings and design documentation.
  • Monitor the progress of manufacture and support timely delivery of components to site. As well as collaborate across teams to ensure the manufacturing adheres to schedule.
  • Manage technical quires related to design and manufacturing.

 

Profile

To be considered for the role you should have the following:

  • Mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience in Piping Design preferably in the nuclear industry including calculations of piping and valves.
  • Good understanding of systems/piping design stages such as basic, detailed & execution design.
  • Analytical minded and good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of RCC-M code, ASME and EN standards (desirable).
  • Experience in change management ideally in a multidiscipline and complex engineering project (desirable).
