Description of the assignment

BA Blacktop is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Administrator to support the implementation and continual improvement of the Health & Safety Management System across projects and offices.

KEY TASKS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with implementing, maintaining, and improving the corporate Health & Safety Management System.
  • Develop site-specific safety plans, orientations, safe work practices, and procedures.
  • Administer the Injury Management Program and liaise with WorkSafeBC.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track safety training; maintain training records.
  • Support internal COR audits and external audit processes.
  • Review incident investigations, inspections, and audits; track corrective actions.
  • Develop and distribute Weekly Safety Topics, Near-Miss Reviews, and Red Alerts.
  • Maintain safety supply inventory and the North Vancouver storeroom.
  • Maintain monthly/annual safety statistics and dashboards.
  • Maintain pre-qualification requirements (ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, YVR).
  • Build and maintain forms and employee profiles in SiteDocs.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external safety organizations.
  • Provide WorkSafeBC ERA and annual claims cost reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Desirable Qualifications

  • CHSC, NHSA/NCSO, or CSO designation.
  • COR Internal Auditor certification.
  • Occupational First Aid or Respirator Fit-Tester certification.
  • Familiarity with SiteDocs, ISN platforms, and safety analytics.

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 (CAD) per year, based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and professional background.
