Description of the assignment

HEB Construction is a dynamic and innovative leader in the construction of New Zealand's Infrastructure. We are involved with a variety of projects from road construction and maintenance through to earthworks, drainage, marine works, and major projects of national significance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Advisor to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover Parental Leave. This is a busy role for a superstar who can support the day-to-day operations of our HR team and advise / support managers in making informed decisions.

You will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities whilst building good relationships with our current and prospective employees, our managers and supervisors, as well as external suppliers. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!

Profile

Key Responsibilities

This role provides support and advice to managers across all aspects of HR: including recruitment and selection, employment relations, learning and development, policies and procedures, reward, coaching, performance management, and project work as required. Working collaboratively with the wider HR team, we aim to continually increase efficiency in everything we do.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • 3-5 years' experience in an HR Advisor role, preferably in a similar industry
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and ways of working
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach
