ModuCon Deputy Manager

Main Purpose of the role:
Decommissioning and Site Services (DASS) procures ModuCon modular containment system components for use on its own projects and for sale to other NUVIA divisions and external customers. The department also provides related services including design and erection of containments, product development and marketing.
The ModuCon Deputy Manager reports to the ModuCon Manager who is member of the Decommissioning and Site Services (DASS) management and supports the ModuCon Manager in leading and managing DASS ModuCon delivery and work winning, taking accountability/responsibility for the ModuCon business when delegated by the ModuCon Manager.
Responsible for the Execution of the DASS delivery strategy for the ModuCon Product, including work winning and safe, secure, timely, cost effective and best quality project delivery, meeting both the client’s and Nuvia’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
The ModuCon Deputy Manager (as delegated by the ModuCon Manager) is responsible for:
Product compliance with regulations
Managing sales to internal and external customers.
To ensure projects are completed in compliance with the NUVIA Project Management Orchestra (PMO) and Quality Management System (QMS) – as required.
To coordinate resources for ModuCon including Subcontractors to ensure that NUVIA commitments can be met to the satisfaction of client and in line with the DASS delivery strategy.
To develop and coach all team members under their control
To ensure that their team Identify and Manage all areas of Change associated with any DASS project.
To govern delivery of all DASS projects associated with ModuCon.
To ensure compliance with Nuvia standards and procedures for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality (SHEQ) and Construction.
Procurement of ModuCon components and related services.
Financial monitoring, control and reporting for ModuCon activities.
Product development.
Project Management of ModuCon projects & working alongside appointed project manager.
Close working with the ModuCon Nominated Engineer for engineering delivery on all ModuCon projects.
To ensure that the SHEQ incidents and good practice are captured via the NUVIA UNOR systems and associated client system.
Responsible for Nuvia’s relationship with clients associated with ModuCon Scope.
ModuCon Design preparation and Consultation
Preparation of all cost estimates and tenders.
Quality Assurance of product and projects
Communicate professionally, effectively, and clearly both verbally and in writing both internally within Nuvia and with other key stakeholders such as the client, subcontractors and regulators.
Consultancy in regard to application of ModuCon in diverse environments, including: HEPA extract, Airflows and ventilation, Operational practices, Strippable coatings
Profile
Skills, Experience and attributes required for the role: Qualification / Experience / Capability
Essential:
An appropriate degree level or equivalent qualification relevant to the role scope
Design experience with 3D modelling packages.
Minimum 3 years experience of the Nuclear Industry
Minimum 5 years within a highly regulated multi-discipline environment

Engineering or Project Management experience delivering different forms of contract
Direct and demonstrable experience of involvement in the provision of decommissioning projects.
Knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and duty holders responsibilities.
Proven track record within a complex decommissioning environments with strong organisational and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of project management tools and their appropriate utilisation
Excellent skills in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Leadership/People management skills, Stakeholder management, Communication skills at all levels across the business, Motivational and unfazed at working to tight deadlines.

Chartered status in relevant discipline
