We are looking for a permanent Piping CAD Designer to support on a project for Hinkley Point. Supporting one of our key clients, you will act as the face of Nuvia throughout the project. As the Piping CAD Designer you will support the Building Engineers in the delivery of work packages.

Responsibilities

As the Piping CAD Designer you are also responsible for:

• Execute piping & support design modifications (clamp, beams, anchor plate...) in the 3D model.
• Participate in and lead troubleshooting investigations for emergent design issues.
• Ensure the right application of the engineering procedures and the overall consistency of the piping and support design (distance between runs, position of welds and openings, etc.).
• Adhere to necessary configuration control processes, layout guidelines and technical specifications.
• Perform surveillance on fabrication isometrics provided by downstream contractors and manage essential reintegration of design.
• Interface with other departments of the organisation to facilitate closure of issues.
• Maintain a high quality for all aspects of design in the PDMS model.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for the role of Piping CAD Designer you should have the following:

• Knowledge of Aveva PDMS and preferably E3D software.
• Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of piping and plant design principles.
• Able to follow project engineering procedures.
• Ability to deliver in a busy design office and work as part of a team.
• Good level of communication to be able to support the team and share knowledge.
• Knowledge of RCC-M code (desirable).
