 Job Purpose / Overview

You will have the opportunity to shape the next generation of Nuclear Power Stations in the UK, developing the skills and experience required to prepare Hinkley Point C (HPC) for operations and hold a role in the future HPC operating organisation.

 

The Procurement Engineer Associate will support the Procurement Engineers in making sure the spares, consumables and materials required to support the HPC commissioning and maintenance programs are delivered to the right quality at the right time with an overriding focus on nuclear safety.  

 

You will work closely with various departments across the HPC project including Pre-Operations, Commissioning and Installation.

 

You will be supported and have access to the necessary training and technical documentation required to fulfil your role

 

The role sits within the CommOps Supply Chain Team, which is part of the HPB CommOps Department Maintenance Programme.

The Maintenance Programme manages the programmes of work to execute the maintenance strategies for HPC now and in the future.

CommOps covers the management of all commissioning and operational activities for HPC

 

Profile

Principal Accountabilities

  • Taking ownership for the delivery of key elements of the Procurement Engineering Strategy
  • Manage emergent issues in support of the delivery of the Procurement Engineering Strategy
  • Using the Digital Tools to perform technical evaluations of plant spares
  • Supporting the operational spares catalogue production by:
  • Creating catalogue identifiers
  • Applying quality assurance grades to catalogue deliverables.
  • Quality reviews of the catalogue deliverables.
  • Involved with and providing input into the development of the Digital Tools
  • Supporting the quality control inspections of operational spares.
  • Creation of operational process documents for procurement engineering/Spares Management
