The Stage 2 LRT project, delivered under a DBF contract model, was successfully carried out by Kiewit and VINCI (Eurovia, Janin, Dodin) for construction, while the design engineering services were provided by WSP Canada Inc. and Hatch Ltd. This project includes a new 27 km extension of the Confederation Line light rail network (a 14.5 km western extension and a 12.5 km eastern extension) with 16 new stations (11 for the west extension and 5 for the east), as well as an LMSF (maintenance and storage facility). The mandate also includes 3.4 km of cut-and-cover tunnels, major highway widening works, and significant civil engineering structures.

In collaboration with the various teams, here are the responsibilities awaiting you as a Project Manager:

  • Project Management
    • Prepare work according to the project schedule and reference budget.
    • Monitor and validate the execution of municipal, structural, or other types of work according to plans, specifications, and other requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with project timelines and quality standards.
    • Plan material, human, and financial resources for the project.
    • Advise and propose new methods or processes.
    • Participate in site coordination meetings.
  • Cost Control
    • Perform cost control for the jobsite and propose improvement opportunities.
    • Take part in budget review meetings.
    • Integrate jobsite costs into the management system.
  • Workforce and Subcontractor Management
    • Verify and validate subcontractors’ work methods and the quality of the work performed.
    • Act as a leader and promoter of health and safety on construction sites.
  • Problem Solving
    • Identify and resolve technical issues in accordance with Group standards.

Profile

You Are the Candidate We’re Looking For:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering with 5 years of experience,
  • or a college diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering and 10 years of experience;
  • Be bilingual (English / French);
  • Hold a valid driver’s license;
  • Demonstrate strong communication, management, and negotiation skills;
  • Be recognized for your organizational skills, attention to detail, and autonomy;
  • Show creativity and ingenuity.
