Description of the assignment

Radiation dose measurement, assessment, and recording as part of an Approved Dosimetry Service, based in Caithness.

Nuvia provides Approved Dosimetry Services for internal dosimetry, external dosimetry and record keeping.

This role provides an exciting and challenging variety of science related work with a clear career path with opportunities to participate at national and international levels in the field of radiation dosimetry.

The role is based on the Dounreay site near Thurso.

Profile

Degree in relevant subject: physics, biology, or mathematics or other science subject incorporating physics or biology. Some knowledge of radiation physics an advantage.
Or relevant experience giving an equivalent knowledge level.

With dosimetry offices and laboratories located at key sites in Oxfordshire, Dorset, and Scotland, we provide services to licensees and tenants on the former UKAEA sites and clients in the nuclear, industrial and security sectors. We are currently providing support to over 200 clients, with approximately 5,000 workers subject to dosimetry monitoring.
