Position – Cable Routing Engineer
Location – Aztec West, Bristol
Hybrid – Required in the office 3 days per week and 2 days remote
Arrangement – Staffed

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.
Electrical engineer in charge of designing, developing, reviewing the cable routing network of the HPC project in correlation with the UK cabling rules and the UK nuclear regulation. The engineer will be assigned to produce routing deliverables and apply studies in specified buildings from the nuclear island using an optimized in-house routing software to achieve the below regular tasks:
- Provide the routing reports for delivery assuring the integrity of the output data (reliable cable paths and lengths) and fulfilling the project requirements according to the UK routing rules (lifetime margins, safety function integrity, electrical segregations…).
- Interface with the layout team to provide the routing reports to assess the trays filling rates or address the queries preventing the routing production (3D model quality check, civil work electrical opening management, cable trays design to match with the routing requirement…).
- Assess feasibility studies for design changes or open points impacting the routing activity. Perform risk assessments, set mitigation in an event of critical modifications.
- Provide user feedback concerning the use of the routing software (Performance, weakness, troubleshooting…), apply beta testing.
- Communicate the updates and studies progress to the routing weekly follow-up meeting, the layout or the management board.
- Provide training and introduction to the cable routing software and the cable routing discipline, rules and regulations.
- Participate in experience sharing activities (OPEX shared from other projects assessing any possible integration for HPC).
Profile
Required Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of the RCC-E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909)
- Knowledge of the nuclear field via educational curriculum or professional experience
- Knowledge of the quality processes involved in industrial projects in the nuclear field
- Use of CAD tools PDMS/E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD
