Description of the assignment
As an International Business Development/ Contracts Engineer, you will support Menard's international growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting our ground improvement solutions worldwide. Working at the intersection of technical expertise, commercial strategy, and operational execution, you will contribute to expanding Menard's presence across existing and emerging markets.
Profile
Main responsibilities:
- Conduct technical and financial analyses of projects submitted by clients and propose the best solution using our techniques.
- Prepare quotations, contact clients and arrange meetings and appointments.
- Develop the company’s business, client network, and relationships with clients, inspection bodies and geotechnical engineers.
- Make strategic commercial decisions in coordination with the Branch Manager.
- Monitor projects closely on a day-to-day basis using company tools such as Excel and the CRM, and intervene as needed with the Works Engineers responsible for projects or directly with clients.
- Manage and lead your team in coordination with the Branch Manager, including leave, salary increases, training, annual performance reviews and mobility.
- Train employees and participate in training delivered by the branch to stakeholders, including clients, regional schools and internal teams.
- Participate with the Branch Manager in the regular recruitment of management staff and monitor their development.
- Contribute to the preparation of the branch’s annual budget and monitor commercial performance in coordination with the Branch Manager.
- Represent the company in dealings with external stakeholders.
- Monitor progress on projects and review any issues encountered with the personnel.
- Oversee the proper progress of each project at every stage: early phase, design, negotiation, execution, close-out, payment and disputes.
- Maintain strong client relationships.

- Willing and able to travel internationally
- Fluent in English and French.
- Spanish is an asset.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Paris/Orsay area. Regular presence at headquarters is expected.
- Engineering degree or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in ground improvement, special foundations, or a related field
- Experience in business development, project management, or operations in an international environment is an asset.
