We are currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate to join our Health Physics Trainee program in the West Cumbria area. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the field of radiation protection, environmental monitoring, and health physics in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Profile

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting radiological surveys and environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Learn and apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to radiation in the workplace and surrounding environment.
- Support the maintenance and calibration of radiation detection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Participate in the development and implementation of radiation safety programs and procedures to safeguard personnel and the public.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to gain practical skills in radiation dose assessment and control measures.

Requirements & Experience:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and ethical conduct.
- Ability to adapt to varying work environments and work effectively under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Undertake a medical to become a classified radiation worker.
- Obtain appropriate security clearance.
- Enter contamination and radiation controlled areas and wear PPE/RPE
