UGS GmbH is an engineering service provider with around 150 employees and many years of experience in complex projects within the energy sector. Alongside our established business in the conventional energy market (oil & gas), we are actively developing new business areas in future-oriented sectors such as hydrogen and geothermal energy.
In this role, you will drive the development of existing customer relationships while acquiring new customers in a project-based engineering services environment. You will act as a central interface to the market, identify customer needs early, and position UGS as a long-term strategic partner.
Key Account Management• Manage and further develop selected existing customers, particularly in the oil & gassector• Identify and realize up- and cross-selling opportunities• Build sustainable and long-term customer relationships• Actively manage customer expectations and maintain strong communication
Business Development & New Markets• Acquire new customers in project-driven engineering environments• Identify and approach new markets and business opportunities• Utilize and expand existing industry networks• Support the development of new business areas such as hydrogen and geothermal energy together with customers and internal stakeholders
Strategic Coordination• Work closely with management and technical departments regarding marketdevelopment• Maintain an overview of ongoing projects from the customer perspective• Coordinate closely with project teams and internal interfaces to ensure consistentcommunication and customer alignment
Market Presence• Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences• Organize and conduct several customer events per year• Contribute to a market- and customer-oriented external presentation of the company
Several years of experience in sales of engineering services or a comparable project-based business• Proven experience in both key account management and new customer acquisition• Strong understanding of project-driven business models• Confident appearance when dealing with customers and decision-makers• High willingness to travel (approximately 60–80%)• Solid technical understanding• Industry experience in the energy or industrial sector (e.g. oil & gas) is advantageous butnot mandatory• Business fluent in German and English• French language skills are a plus
