Description of the assignment

Our ambitious environment goals need your innovative ideas. Join us to build better together.

At VINCI Construction, we aim at forging a sustainable world. It means reducing our own footprint and proactively reinvent ourselves in what we build and the way we build it. We promote low-carbon methods and materials, implement circular economy, and commit to preserve nature in all our activities.

Through our projects, we provide solutions delivering positive impacts on the environment.

At HEB Construction, we know we have a huge responsibility to New Zealanders to ensure we protect the natural environment during the course of our projects. That’s why we consider ourselves lucky - and proud - to have the largest, most capable environmental team in the Kiwi construction industry.

We’re a national team: you can find HEB Environmental and Sustainability support throughout the entire country. From these locations, we can deploy mobile environmental personnel to provide regional support anywhere in the country.

To keep doing so, we are looking for an Environmental Advisor VIE (F/M) who will join the dynamic environment team of HEB Construction.

Does it feel like a mission you would be ready to take on? Keep reading!

What can you expect as an Environmental Advisor @HEB Construction?

Many things!

Indeed, the team is highly experienced in the delivery of complex environmental management across a vast number of specialist disciplines. Your main role will be to support the environmental team with a range of very diverse environmental tasks, all included in the list below. Get ready to intervene on any topic, at any time!

HEB expertises

In concrete terms, your first year will be focused on getting you trained and ready for the field. You’ll get to spend your time with senior environmental advisors who will mentor you and guide you on their everyday job.

If you are successful and showing the right mindset, we’ll embark on year 2, where you should be fully autonomous and ready to take on your first missions’ solo, on a specific construction project in the Northeastern Bay of New Zealand.

As such, your responsibilities can include:

  • Ensuring compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
  • Conducting environmental impact assessments and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Developing and implementing environmental management plans for projects.
  • Training and raising awareness among the project team on best environmental practices.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the environmental performance of some ongoing projects in the Northeastern region of New Zealand.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project sustainability.
  • Refine and influence our current procedures, processes, and practices to ensure we have a uniform best practice standard across our teams.

  • You’re looking for assignments that give you a sense of responsibility and high autonomy
