Location: Main office (Ilkeston)


Hours: Full-Time, 37.5hrs per week, Flexible Hours


Salary Range: £30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)

 

Actemium Automation Nottingham is seeking a talented Junior Controls Engineer to join our team!

About the role

 

As a Junior Controls Engineer at Actemium, you will be assisting senior engineers in designing, developing and implementing control systems for industrial automation projects around the East Midlands.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to develop control solutions for a variety of industrial applications.
  • Assist in the design, programming, and testing of PLC and SCADA systems.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and commissioning activities.
  • Analyse system performance and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to clients and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.

 

The Person:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell) and SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in the Food and Beverage sector is a plus.
