Role: Tendering Engineer


Location: Actemium Automation Nottingham - Main Office (Ilkeston) 


Hours: Full-Time, 37.5hrs per week, Flexible Hours


Salary Range: £50,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience)

About the role

 

As a Tendering Engineer at AA Nottingham, you will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle. A customer focused role, you will be assisting the business in creating new tenders, direct sourcing and working collaboratively with the Project Managers. 

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Preparing and submitting tenders: Collaborate with our sales and engineering teams to create competitive and accurate tender proposals.
  • Cost estimation: Analyze project requirements, evaluate costs, and provide detailed estimates.
  • Technical understanding: Understand client specifications and translate them into effective technical proposals.
  • Risk assessment: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Client communication: Engage with clients during the tender process, addressing queries and ensuring clarity.

 

The Person

 

  • Engineering background: degree in Electrical or related field
  • Proven experience in tendering, preferably in automation however open to other engineering projects
  • Understanding of Automation in particular, Allen Bradley and Siemens industrial Control Systems
  • Attention to detail: ability to analysis complex requirements s and create precise proposals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to take on new skills & knowledge
