Description of the assignment

Actemium Mechanical (part of Vinci Energies) specialise in the bespoke design and fabrication of process related projects working to Food Hygiene standards and operating under BS EN1090 classification

  

Summary

 

Actemium UK has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Piping Supervisor, based at our Daventry fabrication shop & specific project sites to oversee the installation of various phases of pipework. The successful candidate will oversee piping installation and welding activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

 

This is a key role in a long-term project with competitive pay and a fast-paced working environment. Reporting to the Project Engineer/Manager

Main Responsibilities

  • Supervise piping activities on-site to ensure timely project completion.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain quality control for all piping works.
  • Coordinate with site teams and contractors to address technical issues.
  • Monitor health and safety protocols in line with industry standards.
  • Work with Project Engineer / Manager to arrange with sub-contractors for crane lifts and Scaffold erections/demobilisation in good time.
  • You will be responsible for following up on quality checks, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards, and making sure that right corrective actions are implemented in the event of non-conformities.
  • Experience with different grades of materials such Stainless Steel (304L & 316L) Carbon Steel (A106 Grd B & API 5L) Low Temp (A333 Grd 6) and High Temp (A335 P22).
  • Have experience working to ASME & EN standards.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You are proactive and resourceful in addressing on-site challenges, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring that work aligns with project objectives and industry regulations.

 

Profile

The Person

  • SSST (Essential)
  • CCNSG & or NEEBOSH/IOSH
  • Previous experience in a piping supervisor role. 3 years Minimum.
  • Strong understanding of piping systems and related construction processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
