Description of the assignment

Freyssinet Australia is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to join our Remedial Engineering business unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to vital projects across Western Australia based out of our Welshpool office.

Profile

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading large and complex projects, typically up to the value of $10 million+. Your role will involve implementing all aspects of project performance, client relations, and risk management to ensure zero harm, quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Ideally looking for somebody coming from a background of:

Remedial projects exposure (Concrete, Steel and/or coating repair works on Civil / Marine infrastructure projects in Australia) (not essential) 
At least 5 years experience as a Site Engineer / Project Engineer working on Civil repair / remediation projects.(not essential)
Strong subcontract management experience (essential)

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and designing civil remedial projects, including development, management, and review of project strategy, critical path milestones, and project plans.
Identifying, reviewing, and managing project risk factors.
Determining construction methods and interpreting specifications, drawings, and plans.
Resolving design and operational problems within the field of remedial civil engineering.
Setting safety standards and supervising construction works.
Supporting pre-contract business development initiatives.
Managing client and stakeholder relations.
Ensuring financial performance through cost control and labour efficiency.
Managing contract, claim, and commercial elements of projects.
Delegating responsibility and managing team and subcontractor performance.
Procuring and negotiating project resources.
Supporting innovation and technology development onsite.
Facilitating training and development of work crews.
Budgetary control and cost estimation.
Monthly project reporting, financial reporting, and forecasting.
Overseeing project close-out.


Skills & Experience:

Minimum 8 years' experience in a leadership role in the construction industry.
Sound knowledge of Australian Standards.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Degree in Engineering and Construction.
