Description de la mission
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring all site activities comply with local and industry regulations.
- Conduct daily safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and implementing preventive measures.
- Lead safety briefings and toolbox talks at the beginning of each shift, emphasizing safety in all operations.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the quality of SEM tunnel excavation, ensuring compliance with design specifications and project standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of tunnel profiles to ensure they meet the required tolerances and geometrical accuracy.
- Supervise the installation of shotcrete, ensuring it meets specified thickness, strength, and coverage criteria.
Technical Supervision:
- Monitor and coordinate the activities of the SEM crew during each shift, ensuring proper sequence and technique are followed.
- Monitor and adjust excavation parameters as needed, based on ground conditions and project requirements.
- Ensure that all installed supports, including shotcrete, anchors, and lining, are correctly placed and meet design requirements.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare daily shift reports, documenting progress, safety incidents, and quality control measures.
- Complete all required daily quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), production logs, shotcrete testing, concrete testing, rockbolt testing reports, and calibration records for on-site testing equipment.
- Prepare all necessary documents for the daily Permit to Tunnel meeting.
- Generate weekly production reports and track material usage, placing orders as required to meet design specifications and production schedules.
- Track weekly production and costs, supporting end-of-month processes, including accruals, cost summaries, and short-term production forecasts.
- Prepare daily excavation plans, distribute them to the site crew, explain them thoroughly, and attend all shift handover meetings.
Inspections and Monitoring:
- Conduct regular inspections of the tunnel face and surrounding ground conditions to identify potential risks or deviations.
- Continuously monitor the shotcrete application process, ensuring quality and uniformity.
- Inspect the final tunnel profile to ensure compliance with project specifications and correct any deviations promptly.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with other shift engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth coordination of tunneling operations.
- Participate in shift handovers, ensuring that all critical information is communicated clearly to the incoming team.
- Engage with the design team and other engineering staff to resolve technical challenges encountered during excavation.
Profil
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in tunneling, with specific expertise in the Sequential Excavation Method (SEM).
- Proven experience in conducting detailed inspections, preparing shift and profile reports, monitoring shotcrete applications, and handling production and cost tracking.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in tunnel construction.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for documentation, reporting, and quality control.
