We are currently recruiting for experienced Senior or Principal CS&A Engineers. This is an embedded opportunity, supporting one of our key clients within the Nuclear Industry.
Location wise, you will be based in the client's office in Whitehaven on a hybrid basis.
Please note the ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential, uplifted to SC prior to a start.
Role Description:
We are currently looking for a Senior Architect Structural Engineer position to join the team based in Whitehaven. To lead and produce technical packages for the Analytical Services Portfolio, with minimal supervision from the Project Manager.
The requirement is to be part of an Architectural and Structural team in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering design work packages through concept, preliminary and detailed design. The Senior Architect/Engineer shall report to the CS+A Responsible Engineer.
Profile
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- ARB qualified Architect, or Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng (IStructE)
- Experience of working on projects delivering multidiscipline design solutions, predominantly on brownfield sites.
- Understanding of the project delivery all stages of design (concept, front end through to detail construction).
- Developing and leading a team of architects/structural design engineers in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering work packages.
- Knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes for reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures.
- Sound working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation.
- Experience of operating in a highly regulated environment; Rail, Bridge Construction, Defence, Offshore, petrochemical etc.
- Appropriate qualifications in Architecture or Structural e.g. MEng, BEng, BArch, BSc, HND, HNC.
