Description of the assignment

A new position at Freyssinet Australia has been created for a Site Supervisor to join our SA - Remedial Division in Adelaide due to a strong pipeline of civil infrastructure projects due to commence.


The ideal applicant will come a background in the following:

  • Management of Remedial scopes of work as a Supervisor on Civil infrastructure projects (e.g Concrete, Steel &/or Coating repairs / strengthening works, Hydro-Demolition, Shotcrete Operations).
  • Strong Subcontractor Management Experience & management of internal site teams.
  • Exposure of running site operations autonomously as a main contractor.

Profile

You will be accountable for the management of projects to ensure zero harm, quality and on time delivery. This position has supervisory accountabilities for team, crew and subcontractor performance.

 


Primary accountabilities

  • Lead by example and ensure safety culture.
  • Develop and implement QSE plans, work procedures and SWMS with project engineers.
  • Subcontractor Management & Management of Internal Site team
    Plan and organise site labour, plant, equipment and materials to suit program and budget.
  • Induct new labour into company systems.
  • Train site labour and ensure adherence to issues of safety, quality and the environment.
  • Conduct and document safety prestart and inspections at required frequency.
  • Manage safety incidences immediately in conjunction with the project engineer and the safety coordinator.
  • Supervise site works through regular site inspections.
  • Plan and manage subcontractors.
  • Monitor site productivity against budget and optimise methods for improvement.
  • Identify variations and delays, and promptly report to the project engineer.
  • Report weekly timesheets for labour.
  • Develop and maintain good client relationships for future business.

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • Trade qualified (Preferred but not essential)
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Remedial in a foreman and/or supervision role.
  • Concrete repairs and/or strengthening experience is a must.
  • Facade upgrade experience is beneficial
  • Familiarity with steel strengthening, carbon-fibre strengthening and coatings.
  • Exposure to Shotcrete & or Hydro-Demolition operations (Preferred but not essential).
  • Running site operations autonomously as a main contractor
  • Experience with operating mechanical equipment and tools.
  • Can read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to conduct toolbox talks.
  • Proficient in office systems, such as Microsoft office.
