Description de la mission
Operating in 14 countries around the world, VINCI Highways is a leading concessions company and provider of road mobility services. Working with local partners, VINCI Highways designs, finances, builds and operates 4,000 km of roads, bridges, tunnels, and mobility services, delivering the highest performance and safety standards, and providing drivers a positive experience.
We are looking for a Sustainability Manager (F/M), based in Prague or Bratislava. He/she will report hierarchically to the CEO of the concessionaire companies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Environmental Management of construction and operation
- Support implementing and monitor all environmental measures defined in above documents ;
- Develop/Update contractual and regulatory environmental documentation governing construction and operation of infrastructure, including for example:
o Environnemental Management System ;
o Environnemental & Social Management Plans (ESMP) ;
o Sustainability Action Plan ;
o Compliance rules and instructions ;
- Ensure follow-up and annual data review for maintaining certifications (eg. ISO 14 001)
- Ensure regulatory environmental monitoring applicable in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and related communication with government agencies
- Support implementing and monitor measures to comply with VINCI Highways' and Meridiam´s sustainability policies:
o Decarbonization action plan in line with Net Zero Asset Managers (NZAM) initiative (scopes 1 and 2);
o Climate Change adaptation plan ;
o Waste Management: circular economy measures to achieve the “zero waste in landfill” objective ;
o Water Management: measures to reduce, collect, reuse and treat water in order to minimize water consumption, along with measure to protect surface and ground water ;
o Biodiversity: carry on ongoing initiatives related to the protection or enhancement of biodiversity (e.g. “Wild Meadows” initiative), implement zero pesticides alternative, collect data on habitat, flora, and fauna, develop biodiversity management plans, other measures aligned with VINCI Highways’s and Meridiam´s biodiversity policies and goals.
Environmental Reporting
- Development of a yearly ESG report on environmental and social governance ;
- Coordinate the collection of environmental KPIs for VINCI Highways and Meridiam reporting campaigns (à KPI’s on energy, water, waste, biodiversity, contribution to SDGs, …) ;
- Develop and regularly prepare EU Taxonomy reports (both legally mandatory and internal) ;
- Upload data to DEMETER (internal VINCI Highways reporting tool) and Simpl SDG (internal Meridiam´s reporting tool) ;
- Liaise with VINCI Highways and Meridiam Head Quarters specialists for carbon, energy, water, waste, biodiversity and other topics.
Communication & relationships
- Represent Via Salis and Via Pribina within the VINCI Highways and Meridiam environmental correspondents' network.
Profil
> Bachelor or Master degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field
> English fluent, local language (Slovak or Czech) fluent
> Proven experience in sustainability or environmental management, ecology and green solutions
> Understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability reporting standards (e.g., GRI, ISO 14001), and carbon management.
> Force for proposals, provide a critical sense and advice
> Creative and innovative with management abilities, team spirit
> Diplomacy, teaching skills, ability to adapt within an international context
