Switchgear Services is a nationally recognised manufacturer of LV Switchgear and sub distribution equipment based in Honiton, Devon. Recently we have become part of Vinci Energies UK&ROI and with it have become part of their Actemium Brand. This exciting new chapter for Switchgear Services allows us to continue grow and expand our operations in stable and sustainable manner. As a result, we are seeking to recruit for an Estimator/Contracts Engineer to join or team. The role will see you carry out project delivery from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the LV Switchgear industry estimating and delivering on projects however applications from potential candidates with transferable skills or those in a more junior role looking to take the next step will also be welcomed.

CAD qualified/experienced
Microsoft Office software package inc. outlook/Excel
Excellent customers service / communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure both alone and as part of a team.
A good understanding of LV Switchgear design & manufacture would be desirable.
Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Electrical engineering or equivalent technical discipline would be preferred however applicants able to demonstrate relevant experience or transferrable skills would be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
A willingness to occasionally attend site and discuss projects with clients as required.
Good understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance and experience in assessing value / evaluating variations of works undertaken.
Calm professional manner, but able to take firm and timely decisions.
Positive "can do" attitude, be proactive to identify and resolve management problems.
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality.
Working hours are generally 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday, 40Hrs per week. Extended hours or business travel may be required from time to time as required by the business
