EDF Energy’s ambition is to construct and operate up to 2 new nuclear plants (pairs of EPRs) in the UK, the first of which is at Hinkley Point C (HPC), in Somerset.
The Joint Design Office (JDO) has been created to reinforce the HPC site-based engineering to quickly respond to engineering queries and problems coming from site construction, to deliver the schedule and to deliver an increased scope of work. A primary benefit of this organisation is to save time for construction on site by having reactive answers and solutions to pursue their activities.

Particularly, the post holder will support I&C changes Review and Acceptance during the commissioning phases of the Unit 2 Polar Crane, the Demin Water production Plant, the auxiliary transformer, and support hydrotests of key Turbine Hall components.
