Position – Civil Engineer
Location – Aztec West, Bristol
Travel – Required in the office 3 days per week and 2 from home
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office and 2 remote
Arrangement – Staffed only
Salary – £45,000+ DOE – Level 3, 6-10 years industry experience

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.
Supporting one of our key clients we are looking for Civil Engineers. This will involve managing a small team, managing the designs of others, and reviewing the designs that are produced so that processes are properly, adequately, and efficiently implemented across the project.
In this organisation, the Civil Engineer will be in charge to support and coordinate the technical topics across buildings. The Civil Engineer will work with their associated contract holder but also with the responsible Designers Project Management Office (PMO), procurement department and potential legal teams.
Profile
Responsibilities of a Civil Engineer –
- Carrying out and coordinating review and acceptance of deliverables in their scope of activity.
- Producing technical specific documents such as handover reports or hypothesis notes.
- Responsibility of raising, following up of technical open points.
- Supporting the civil building lead for the resolution of transverse/complex technical open points.
- Supporting the civil building lead and contract engineering lead in coordination with L3 civil designer and other stakeholders for producing the design.
- Supporting the contract engineering lead for the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alerts of any technical risks to program.
- Supporting the contract engineering lead for reviewing technical proposals for variations.

- EPR-E civil teams CLC and CLB
- Members of the SZC civil program team
Qualifications –
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in civil engineering
- Working experience on civil design engineering
- Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous.
Knowledge and technical skills:
Essential:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Codes & Standards on CW
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the UK Projects civil engineering design sequence and/or experience on HPC project would be advantageous
