Description of the assignment
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and project financial controls. This role will work closely with the Finance Manager and support the company's growing operations in Indonesia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage general accounting activities and monthly closing.
- Prepare financial and management reports.
- Monitor cash flow, payments, and fixed assets.
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Support project invoicing, collections, and bank guarantees.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
1. General Accounting
- Perform and manage general accounting and reconciliations for the Company including Overheads, Projects and Yard.
- Preparation of payments and management of cash flow.
- Review monthly bank reconciliation.
- Manage the monthly closing and quarterly fast closing according to Vinci Group schedule.
- Manage the cashier/petty cash for the agency (advance to staff, statement of expenses, reconciliation, control proper input, etc.).
- Update and monitor fixed assets file and depreciation.
- Regular control of Balance sheet accounts.
- Journal payroll input.
2. Corporate and reports
- Ensure the implementation and renewal of necessary Insurance policies according to group standards.
- Liaison with Banks.
- Liaison with the auditors and other parties involved, if any, prepare the necessary documentation.
- Produce the monthly reports (activity and cash), quarterly reports (P&L, Balance sheet, cash).
3. Tax Accounting
- Ensure all transactions and invoices are compliant with accounting rules and Indonesian regulation.
- Manage and assist the company tax officer in the production of monthly and yearly reports.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation between General Ledger and tax declaration.
- Prepare monthly and annual income tax declaration (SSP and SPT).
4. Financial supervision of Projects
- Supervision of general accounting for projects.
- In charge of issuing Bank Guarantees according to each project needs (Performance Bond, Retention Bond, Advance Payment Bond).
- Responsible for the project invoicing and tracking the payments.
Profile
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of Accounting & Finance experience, including team supervision.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Experience in EPC or project-based industries is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Professional certifications (CPA, CA, ACCA, Brevet A & B) are a plus.
