Freyssinet Australia, a leader in specialist engineering, remediation and repair works, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Working Supervisor to join our growing VIC Remedial team. Based in Melbourne, this role will see you taking the lead on complex remedial projects, coordinating site operations, and ensuring excellence in delivery across our diverse work portfolio.

About the Role


Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Supervisor plays a critical role in the day-to-day management of remedial construction sites. This role is hands-on, responsible for ensuring that all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with quality and environmental standards.


You will be supervising works including:



  • Concrete repairs

  • Steel repairs & strengthening

  • Carbon Fibre Strengthening

  • Hydro-demolition and Dry-spray

  • Temporary works and access solutions

  • Abrasive blasting and protective coating applications


 


You’ll lead and manage crews on-site, oversee subcontractors, and maintain effective communication between the project team and site workforce. Your ability to lead by example and uphold a high standard of safety, productivity, and accountability will be key to your success.



Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate site activities and allocate resources to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements

  • Monitor project progress and proactively address any issues affecting timelines or budgets

  • Liaise with engineers, clients and subcontractors to maintain alignment across the project lifecycle

  • Assist in the planning and setup of temporary works, including scaffolding, containment and access systems

  • Maintain detailed site records, including daily diaries, timesheets, and material usage

  • Champion continuous improvement and foster a high-performing site culture


We’re seeking a hands-on, experienced Working Supervisor who can lead from the front and ensure our remedial projects are delivered safely and efficiently.



You’ll need:



  • 5–10 years of supervisory experience in the construction or remediation industry

  • Proven capability in delivering complex works on active construction or industrial sites

  • Strong leadership and team management skills – able to motivate and drive performance

  • A high level of accountability and financial awareness, with experience tracking productivity and costs

  • Solid technical understanding of concrete and steel repair methods, coatings, and temporary works

  • Experience in marine structures, FRP systems, or specialist remedial construction (highly regarded)

  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
    Willingness to be site-based and lead by example
