As part of the team preparing the ground for construction of a next‑generation nuclear power station, you’ll work within a collaborative alliance delivering complex geotechnical works—piling, diaphragm walling, soil mixing, grouting and more.

Profile
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll support senior members of the commercial team while gaining hands‑on experience across all core QS disciplines. You’ll play a key role in cost management, procurement, valuation of works, and commercial reporting—contributing directly to the productivity and performance of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Cost Management
- Measure, value and record work in line with procedures
- Collate cost and value information
- Prepare cost reconciliation statements
- Work closely with subcontractors on measurement and agreements
Procurement & Estimating
- Help specify procurement needs and manage supplier documentation
- Support the build‑up of estimates from first principles
- Interpret drawings and specifications to prepare Bills of Quantities
Project & Programme Support
- Review weekly and monthly programme updates
- Use our ERP system for reporting and commercial management
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Completed or currently studying towards a BSc in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A drive to achieve results and solve problems
Desirable
- Previous commercial experience (placement, internship or full-time)
- Knowledge of civil engineering or construction industry practices
