Construction Manager – Bridge Strengthening Project (Eastern Australia)

Freyssinet Australia is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a major bridge strengthening project located on the East Coast of Australia.

This two-year project involves bearing replacements at piers and abutments and external post-tensioning works on a critical transport asset. The successful candidate will play a key role in this technically complex program, working alongside our national civil team.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Leading daily site operations, subcontractor coordination, and overall delivery planning
• Driving safety, quality, and productivity on-site in line with project milestones
• Managing a multidisciplinary team and engaging directly with engineers and clients
• Ensuring compliance with Freyssinet’s procedures and technical standards
• Reporting progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders

We’re looking for:

• A proven Construction Manager or Senior Site Manager with 5–10+ years’ experience
• Technical experience in bridge works – ideally including bearing replacement and post-tensioning
• Strong leadership and communication skills in live infrastructure environments
• The ability to travel or work away for extended periods (East Coast based)
• A collaborative, practical approach with a strong safety-first mindset
