Actemium Mechanical (part of Vinci Energies) specialise in the bespoke design and fabrication of process related projects working to Food Hygiene standards and operating under BS EN1090 classification

 

 

Summary

Actemium UK has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Engineering Storeman / Pressure Tester, there is a requirement for work at our Daventry Workshop to oversee the fabrication and testing of various systems of pipework. The successful candidate will oversee piping and welding activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Confident capable individual who is able to assess situations and use initiative.
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving using a logical approach.
  • Confident and logical under pressure but must understand urgency and respond accordingly.
  • Confident using IT systems and spreadsheets.
  • Attend external and internal courses as required.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety at Work regulations.
    Reporting writing skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills with good level of mathematical skills.
  • Allocation of pipe work materials to relevant drawings ready for fabrication job packs.
  • Booking in of material deliveries.
  • Quarantining of non-compliant materials or damaged materials and reporting to line manager.
  • Reading of pipework drawings for pressure testing. (Training can be given)
  • Bolting together of pipe spools for pressure testing and witnessing of pressure test and recording of reading.

 

Profile

The Person

  • Previous experience of managing an Engineering Stores.
  • Previous experience within a pipe fabrication/engineering company.
  • Pressure testing of pipework systems (not essential).
